Bespoke Software
Package software is great, but inevitably it's written to satisfy 80% of the requirements of 80% of the market. Sometimes this is not quite good enough.
What do we, at Celox Software, mean by 'bespoke software'? We don't believe in re-inventing wheels or fixing what isn't broken. Configuration of package software you already have may be all that's needed, or possibly the addition of some specially written reports. If that is the case we will tell you so.
Your business may have already have a number of spreadsheets or databases that have evolved over time; the problem with them is that they aren't quite right, or don't cope with certain events, or just 'crash' whenever someone other than the person that created them tries to use them. At least when they crash you know there's a problem; it has been estimated (Raymond R. Panko) that between 20% and 40% of spreadsheets have undetected inaccuracies in them! In many cases we can transform these spreadsheets or databases relatively easily into robust, error-free systems you know you can rely on. At the very least they will provide an insight into the operation of your business and can form the basis of bespoke software.
